Tuesday, July 6

Vesper Services & Awards Ceremony

The Vesper Services opening Philipsburg Heritage Days 2010 will be held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at Laurel and Third Streets in Philipsburg, Pa.

The Vesper Service will be coordinated by the Philipsburg Ministerium and will begin at 7 PM.  Music will be provided by the Valley Voices.

Immediately following the Vesper Services, the Philipsburg Heritage Days Community Awards will be presented.

Wednesday, July 7

10:00 AM - Steve Hennessy Award Winning Songwriter and Child Entertainer at the Rowland Theatre. Click here for more information.

11:00 AM to 8:00 PM - Children's Activities sponsored by Cen-Clear Child Services, Inc. and community agencies

4:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Art Seminar by Ryan Scaife at 1 North Front Street second floor meeting room

6:00 PM - Dance Recital by Shaw and Ghaner (Front Street)

7:00 PM - Watermelon Eating Contest (Front Street)

 

Thursday, July 8

10:00 AM to 8:00 PM - Children's Activities sponsored by Cen-Clear Child Services, Inc. and community agencies

10:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Health Fair - Hosted by the VFW and sponsored jointly by Geisinger, Clearfield Hospital and Tyrone Hospital

7:30 PM - Valley Voices concert at the Rowland Theatre

 

Friday, July 9

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Flower Show - Hosted by the VFW and sponsored by Bud and Jane Hollis and Hollis Greenhouse and Nursery

10:00 AM to 4:30 PM - Children's Activities sponsored by Cen-Clear Child Services, Inc. and community agencies

5:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Dayze Gone Bye Carriage Rides (Ages 3-12: $5.00/person, 13 and up $7:00/person)

 

Saturday, July 10

2:00 PM - Grand Parade

10:00 PM - Fireworks. The band Killin Time will be performing at the Cold Stream Pavilion leading up to the start of fireworks. Fireworks is sponsored by Philipsburg Borough.

 

Sunday, July 11

9:00 AM to 2:30 PM - Car Show

3:00 PM - Cowchip Bingo hosted by the Moshannon Valley YMCA Summer Youth Theatre (P-O football field)
