Tuesday, July 8

Vesper Services & Awards Ceremony

7:00 PM - The Vesper Services opening Philipsburg Heritage Days 2014 at the Grace United Methodist Church.

Vesper Services is presented by the Philipsburg Ministerium and sponsored by The Philipsburg Elks Lodge BPOE 1173. Music will be provided by the Valley Voices.

Immediately following the Vesper Services, the Philipsburg Heritage Days Community Awards will be presented.

Community Awards are sponsored by Blaise Alexander Chevrolet Buick of Philipsburg.

 

Wednesday, July 9

10:00 AM - 8:00 PM - Children's Activities sponsored by CenClear, Geisinger and community agencies.

11:00 AM and 1:00 PM - Stories 'n Motion by master storyteller Jan Kinney and dancer-teacher Ann Van Kuren. Sponsored by CenClear, Pennsylvania Council On The Arts and Pennsylvania Partners In The Arts: Project Stream. Location: Reed Hall, Trinity United Methodist Church

5:00 PM - "Little Mermaid, Jr." songs presentation by Student Youth Theatre of YMCA of Centre County, Moshannon Valley Branch. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Stage.

6:00 PM - Dance Recital by Shaw and Ghaner. Location: Front Street near Philipsburg Towers.

6:00 PM - Not Ashamed. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage.

7:00 PM - Watermelon Eating Contest sponsored by Hi-Way Pizza. Registration at 7:00 PM, contest at 7:30 PM. Location: Front Street near Philipsburg Towers.

8:00 PM - The Sharptones. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage. Sponsored by Lee Industries.

 

Thursday, July 10

10:00 AM - 8:00 PM - Children's Activities sponsored by CenClear, Geisinger and community agencies.

3:00 PM - Jockular Juggler. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage. Sponsored by: "a Friend of Heritage Days."

5:00 PM - Zumba demonstration by YMCA of Centre County, Moshannon Valley Branch. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage.

6:30 PM - Restless Renegades. Location: Front Street near Philipsburg Towers.

7:00 PM - Valley Voices concert. Location: Trinity United Methodist Church.

Friday, July 11

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Flower Show at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

10:00 AM - 4:30 PM - Children's Activities sponsored by CenClear, Geisinger and community agencies.

10:00 AM - Noon - Lincoln's Generals will be strolling downtown Philipsburg.

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM and evening - Lincoln's Generals will be strolling downtown Philipsburg.

4:00 PM - Ray Owen. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage. Sponsored by Geisinger.

6:00 PM - Ray Owen. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage. Sponsored by Geisinger.

6:15 PM - Jazzercise. Location: Front Street near Philipsburg Towers.

7:00 PM - Keith Lucas and Friends. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage.

8:00 PM - Pat Moore and the Elvis Show and the band Still Moore. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage.

 

Saturday, July 12

Third Annual 5K Race for Education

7:00 AM - 8:00 AM - Registration
8:00 AM - Dual Start Walk/Run

2:00 PM - Grand Parade. Fire company equipment judging will take place at the P-O High School from 10 AM to Noon. Lincoln's Generals will be at the judge's stand at 1:00 PM.

5:00 PM - Karaoke Contest. Location: Edward Navasky Memorial Sound Stage.

10:00 PM - Fireworks. Classic rock band "Rockin' Horse" will be performing at the Cold Stream Pavilion leading up to the start of fireworks. Fireworks sponsored by Philipsburg Borough. Band entertainment is sponsored by the Navasky Foundation. Harpster of Philipsburg and Crystal Clean Auto Spa will sponsor glow sticks sale and 100% of the proceeds will go to Philipsburg Heritage Days.

 

Sunday, July 13

9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Car Show. Car Show sponsored by Alan Anderson of Alan Anderson Nationwide Insurance.

3:00 PM - Cowchip Bingo hosted by the Student Youth Theatre, YMCA of Centre County, Moshannon Valley Branch. Location: P-O football field.
